12 Sterling Silver Francis I Demitasse Spoons Heavy Weight
Presented is a great set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons. These spoons are made in the Francis I pattern by Reed & Barton, however the spoons themselves are by another company, likely a Japanese company known for copying popular American patterns. The spoons are very well made from thick heavy gauge sterling silver, about 30% heavier in weight than comparable sets of Francis I by Reed & Barton. The spoons are very well cast, with crisp, detailed designs easily the equal of Reed & Barton work if not better.
This set is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is stamped sterling as well as a maker’s mark of ACC.
Each spoon is about 4 3/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 267 grams or 9.4 regular ounces.
